Missionary Ministry

The Missionary Ministry has its primary objective to serve the Lord as it fulfills the mission and vision of Oak Shade Baptist Church. The purpose and goals of Oak Shade Baptist Church Missionary Auxiliary is to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of our members, communities and foreign missions. In efforts to accomplish this goal, the following services are provided:

• A clothing closet is operated each Saturday from 9:00AM to 12:00 Noon, providing free clothing to all who have a need

  .

• Food is provided for needy families.

• Cards are sent to persons put on the prayer list.

• Weekly calls are made to all members on the prayer list, widows and widowers; to inquire of any assistance needed. Assistance which cannot be handled by the missionaries, is reported to the appropriate auxiliary and/or the Pastor for action.

• Monthly financial support is given to the Lott Carey Foreign Mission and the Pioneers mission in Indonesia.

• Monthly visitations and fellowship services are conducted alternately at the Oak Springs and Birmingham Green Nursing Homes.
